High On High On Fire

Check out the awesome "Bastard Samurai" from the awesome new album "Snakes For The Divine" by High On Fire, it mentions yakuza thumbs and I think that's cool. This is also one of the best air-drumming albums I've heard in ages:

Belfast For Haiti Doc

Scatterbrain Films along with Red Sky Photography along our good pal Seany Duncan at Red Cap have put together this awesome documentary about the B4H gig. You can hear our tune "West Of The Best" in the background when Anto is speaking. There's a track by Axis Of... in there too:

The Big List Review

The Big List had this to say about our recent Spring & Airbrake show:

"The performance by Yakuza had been more hotly anticipated than a breaking news story about Northern Ireland politicians. The band were met by a billowing audience and their indie rock showed it's still a relevant and dynamic force"

You know it...

What were they, psychos?

Hup, here's the new video for "What were they, psychos?" from the forthcoming second Yakuza album. This scarey little iPod commercial was shot and directed by the very talented Darren McNanney who was responsible for the artwork for our first album "One Nation Under Awed"

Belfast For Haiti

Wow! The B4H gig was a huge success with all three venues absolutely rammed and around £27,000 raised to go towards earthquake relief in Haiti which is awesome. Yakuza were in the Quo slot first on at The Limelight and really enjoyed playing. There were generally good vibes all around and much props have to go to Anto from Tin Pot Operation and Ron from Black Bear Saloon for arranging the whole show and the staff of the Limelight for being so great all day. Check out the more info on the event from fudipedia
